Why WGBB?
WGBB has been serving Long Island since 1924. We are Long Island’s first radio station and one of the oldest stations in the country. Our studio is located in Merrick, NY, our tower is located in Freeport, NY and broadcasts a 1,000 watt signal 24/7 on 1240AM– covering central Long Island and parts of New Jersey, Connecticut and upstate New York. Brokered Airtime
Block programming is available for local independent producers and show hosts interested in starting their own radio program. We especially encourage Long Island podcasters to bring their show here on WGBB. Possible formats for your show include:

Airtime Availability
Brokered airtime is currently available weekday evenings from 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Weekend airtime is available from 6:00am to 10:00pm.

All shows have a show page created on the WGBB website, which will contain a show logo, summary and any podcast feed. We will also provide links to any supporting businesses and sponsors.
Board Operation
A board operator is provided for you during the broadcast of your show. Your board operator will run any intro music, get scheduled guests on the phone to interview, run pre-recorded commercials, etc- to allow you to focus on hosting the show. Hosts may also bring guest into the studio during their show.

WGBB maintains a Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linked pages. We will help support and promote your show and sponsors.
