Rob Kowal has been an integral part of WGBB since 2007, serving as a versatile consultant in various capacities. With his extensive experience, he has fulfilled multiple roles within the organization, contributing significantly to its success and growth. With a diverse skill set, Rob’s contributions encompass a wide range of responsibilities. Currently, he manages the WGBB website, oversees the live stream, and effectively maintains all social media accounts. He also works tirelessly to develop innovative programs for the station, with a particular focus on attracting existing podcasts rooted in Long Island.

Rob’s passion for broadcasting extends beyond his consulting role as he is the founder, original host, and executive producer of WGBB’s Sports Talk New York. Since its inception in 2008, this New York sports talk show has captivated audiences every Sunday night at 8:00. Moreover, Rob has showcased his exceptional hosting abilities through NY Hockey Talk at WGBB, where he has interviewed and profiled renowned professional hockey players and announcers from both New York and beyond. His impressive roster of guests includes esteemed names such as Al Arbour, Mike Bossy, Bryan Trottier, Mike Gartner, Brendan Shanahan, Mike Emrick, and Sam Rosen.

Apart from his invaluable contributions to WGBB, Rob leads a multifaceted life. He holds the distinction of being a New York State Licensed Real Estate Sales Agent, showcasing his expertise in the real estate industry. On the sports front, Rob actively participates in and manages his Beavers Softball team while also indulging his passion for ice hockey as a dedicated player with the Long Island Dragons. Beyond his involvement in sports, Rob’s creative endeavors encompass photography and even film-making. Recently, he accomplished a significant milestone by completing his first documentary titled “The Beavers: More Than a Softball Team.”
